Accessibility between Germany and Malta continues to improve and the frequency of flights and airports served in Summer 2025 is even better than the situation pre Covid.
The two most served airports are Frankfurt, where Lufthansa operates three daily flights to Malta, and Munich, again with three daily flights, two operated by KM Malta Airlines and another daily flight through Lufthansa. And from Bayern there is also Ryanair operating two weekly flights from Memmingen.
Eurowings operates twice a week from Stuttgart together with another two weekly flights from the northern German city of Hamburg. KM Malta airlines also operate twice a week from Berlin.
From North-Rhein Westfalia, we find Dusseldorf connected to Malta in Summer 2025 with two flights a week from KM Malta Airlines while Eurowings operate three times a week to Malta from here too. Within this region Ryanair operates three times a week from Cologne.
An improved connectivity is also planned for Winter 2025/26 and although the schedule is not yet finalised, most flights are already on sale. According to the latest information we note that Lufthansa will possibly be operating twice a day from Frankfurt while the German national airline will also operate four times a week from Munich. KM Malta Airlines will keep the same frequency as in Summer and operate twice a week from Munich to Malta in winter 2025/26.
KM Malta Airlines will also retain its two weekly flights from each of Berlin and Dusseldorf to Malta in Winter, while Eurowings will possibly operate two flights a week from the latter airport. Ryanair have programmed two weekly flights from Cologne and as well from Memmingen in Winter 2025/26.
Of course, the schedule for Winter may improve further as airlines evaluate route performances and fleet availability for Winter 2025/26, but the current plans already show a degree of further growth.
